We Survived All Things "Egg"

What a wonderful week we had over Spring Break! It was nice not to have a lot of planned activities, we took it more on a daily basis of waking up and deciding what we wanted to do. I think the girls liked that approach better than me scheduling alot of time in the car. We saw a couple of movies: Penelope and Horton Hears a Who. They both were good. Amanda and I preferred Penelope. We had great weather so we swam alot in the backyard (can I just say again how much we love our new pool?!) and went for an afternoon to a friends house to swim. We ate out alot, and the best was having Amanda plan the weeks worth of dinners and cooking them all. I was a bit nervous when she pulled out the recipes from the revolutionary war that she checked out at the library, but the Minutemen Stew was our favorite and I kept that one. Dancing with the Stars started...yeah! I got hooked on The Tudors and am on Episode 7 of season 1. We had friends sleep over and lots of ice cream. All in all it was an enjoyable week. Easter came early and we decorated eggs and had dinner at a friends house complete with egg hunt. It was fun for the girls. It helps since we miss doing family things on holidays. Frank had Lasik surgery done this week also so we have been all practicing our nursing skills and I have been affectionately calling it "driving miss Daisy" all week. It is getting expensive having Frank at home. We had a $100 dishwasher visit and went out that day and bought a new water softener! No I do enjoy having him around more. We had fun visiting with Great Grandpa and Grandma Powell and look forward to my parents visit on Friday!
