The Desert is Blooming

We had a great visit with my mom and dad this past week. The 5 days here flew by way to fast. We miss them already. It was nice just to have grandma and grandpa around. Grandpa took the girls to the zoo while mom and I shopped and ate great Mexican Food. They watched the girls while we went to Rick Springfield, we swam, watched AI and played lots of Apples to Apples. This was by far their favorite thing! I learned how to prune trees. My tree out front looks so much better. Dad helped me work on our garden and move rocks. It looks so much better. Thanks for all the wisdom and teaching me things. I love this time of year when we can actually enjoy our backyard. We ended the visit with a drive up Hwy88 to Canyon Lake to see all the beautiful flowers and cacti in bloom. There were a few cacti blooming, but probably a week too soon, most of the buds were still closed. We ended it with lunch at In and Out (my dad's favorite). It was a wonderful!
