40th Anniversary

I can't believe that it's been 10 days or so since I blogged! What's up with that? It could be that we are on vacation and except for yesterday, this is the first chance I've had to download pics and check my email...so sad. We are in Utah right now. We drove up last Thursday to celebrate my parent's 40th Anniversary and more sadly to attend the funeral of my Aunt Janet. She passed away on July 4th. It seems appropriate given her recent retirement from the airforce. My mom spoke at the funeral and it was nice to see my cousin Candace and her kids. Friday evening we went to the Bountiful Temple with my siblings and out for dinner afterwards to Robintino's and reminisced about our trip as kids back East...it was hysterical and a lot of fun. Saturday, Amberly took photos at the park of all the family and we decorated for a party and dinner that evening. It was amazing! Everyone read my mind, and got stuff to put out that went along with the pic in my head. I love my sisters and sister-in-laws! Annie catered for us, we played the Newlywed game, attempted karoke (Frank sang Jessie's girl and Kurt and Nicole were awesome on the Love Shack), watched a great DVD put together and enjoyed sharing stories. I'm glad that we were able to celebrate Mom and Dad...they have been a true inspiration to me and I love them!
