Saying Goodbye

One of the hardest things that we as humans are required to do is say goodbye to loved ones that leave us here on earth. In a day an age where senseless tragedy, atrocities, crime and wars are prevalent on the news, it is hard for us to remember that there are still beautiful things worth cherishing and enjoying. Frank's grandma Brown was such a beautiful lady. She truly accepted you for who you were and loved you. She was not herself these past few years, but we caught glimpses of her true self when we visited her a few weeks ago. I love this picture that Frank took of the angel statue. Grandma Brown was an angel - a true Southern lady. She will be missed.
In the spirit of setting goals and making resolutions, I want to embrace the good things that this life has to offer and not focus so much on the bad. I know Grandma Brown is in heaven watching over us all as the true angel she is - my faith tells me that and what a blessing it is to know such a thing.

I love the picture Frank took. From what you have said, she sounds like a special lady. It is a true treasure to have our faith and angels watching over us.

Hmm, funny that you would have something about a grandparent on your blog today. I thought about my grandfather during the wee hours of the night last night and planned to post about him today. Grandparents are one of the best things life has to offer. They teach us true joy because they are in a place in life where they can truly appreciate it. They are sparks of such bright light in every grandchild's eyes. How lucky that Frank had his so long.
