Coloring of the Eggs

Coloring of the eggs was the theme for our family night this week. We have various activities on Saturday, so we tackled egg dipping early. Can I just say that I hate all the prep work involved with coloring the blasted things and that I still can't boil eggs without one of them cracking? I digress. I decided to try a new egg kit that had disposable plastic dipping cups, thinking it would save me doing dishes. HA! That backfired :). My review of Paas new kit....terrible waste of $2! I put the spoons in and they collapsed, running down my kitchen island into all my tupperware. Great, so instead of 6 stupid cups to wash I had a cupboard full of plastic to wash and a untensil drawer to wipe down. Frank thought it was funny. Did he clean it up? Anyways, after my "little" tirade about time-saving products, we managed to have a good lesson and dye the darn eggs!

I love to see pictures of the girls and what you guys are involved in! Amberly's a pro at coloring eggs - I was always amazed at her creativity and how her colors would never mix on the egg. I've not mastered that... maybe this year! Happy Easter!

Nice eggs girls! I am usually the one to dye eggs at my house...I haven't invited anyone to do it this year yet...I hate the mess. But, now I feel bad, cuz the kids do have fun. Thank you O-Perfect-mother for making me feel guilty once again. lol Happy Easter you overachiever!

Shoot. I already bought that $2 kit and my girls have seen it, touched it, smelled it...
Where do you get dyable eggs that don't rot in the heat before the egg hunt is over? And you can keep them for years???

I want them!
