Major Plumbing

Ever had one of those days? Well, we had one of those weekends LOL. I broke the toilet lever in our bathroom on Friday and things spiraled downward from there. The simple $5 home repair turned into a $200 repair when my over zealous/ I mean super strength husband broke the bolt on the back of the toilet. We were going to go to a movie that night, but ended up installing a new toilet. Talk about a great date night. I haven't yet "bonded" with the new toilet as it is a new and improved model and looks different than our previous one. Frank thinks I'm crazy, but I mean a toilet is a pretty intimate part of ones daily routine (HA HA). I finally broke down and used the new one after trudging downstairs started getting annoying. As a freaky footnote...the girls toilet broke too this afternoon. Justine said, "Mom, the toilet won't flush." At least we had the $5 part from ours still! There's some seriously bad karma afloat. Ok, I'm sure I'll get used to the new shiny thing, but I really miss my old one.
