The Granny Awards

Phew! It's finally done, finished, completed, and vorbei. I am so proud of Amanda and all her hard work in memorizing all 30 of her lines for the play the 5th grade put on for their music class this quarter. She auditioned for several parts and ended up getting the role of "Granny." Basically, the play was an awards show to celebrate granny's retirement from fairytales. There were awards presented for best vocalist(snow white - performed by Emma W her friend....I so didn't know she could sing like that...always the quiet ones), best scene (step sisters, Cinderella and prince- nice "staged" catfight....Victoria and Rian were awesome), best tree climber or something like that (Jack and the Beanstalk...this kid is in Amanda's class and so quiet, but when he sang it was amazing....look for him on AI) and best villian(Big Bad Wolf...Colton was hysterical...he and Amanda improvised their "hug" into a pat on the shoulder LOL). My only frustration was the guy in front of us who set up his tripod...we never pick the good places to sit and that our camera battery died! We missed the last 2 minutes, but Lori C said she'd email me a copy of the video (that could have been bad). I had fun helping Amanda find the right outfit and she looked amazing. It was a fun night. Way to go Mandy, we love you!!
