Band Recital

Tonight was the Spring Band Recital for Power Ranch Elementary at the Higley Performing Arts Center. Amanda is in the 5th grade Cub Band that meets after school on Tuesday and Thursdays. She has been playing the clarinet. Tonight's performance was awesome! They have improved so much as a band just beginning out and actually harmonized in Ode to Joy - their last song performed. Natalie was a bit bummed that she had to accompany us since Justine was off at a sleepover/birthday party, but she perked up when the 7th graders performed Jurassic Park and Raiders (Indiana Jones) theme songs and the 8th graders ended with the Pink Panther. The cool factor sky rocketed at that point. We are really proud of Amanda and all her accomplishments this year musically!
