Soccer Weekends

This is what we do in the winter down here in Arizona - SOCCER! The girls have played in the school district league for the last 3 years and we really like that it is a short season, fun and social experience for the kids in the community. It's also affordable with 3 for them to decide if this is something they want to pursue when they get older. I'm all about giving my girls opportunities to broaden their horizons and find out exactly what they like to do. These are pics from Justine and Natalie's team "The Goblins."

Natalie came close to scoring 2 goals, but came up short because the goalie on the other team kept passing the halfback line to grab the ball. The ref finally listened to me and told the coach he can't be up the field so far...it was heart wrenching to say the least. AnyWHO it was fun and I didn't embarrass Frank because he was on the other field for the start of Amanda's game! Justine is one fine forward and blocker. I love that they are not afraid to go up against the boys and fight for the ball. Frank gets a kick out of my pep talks that they are only boys and to get in their faces:). They do a mom proud!
