The holiday Parties have begun!

How can you tell that it's officially December? The holiday parties have begun! Thursday I participated in our Enrichment night Christmas program for the sisters. For some reason, they think I can sing. It was a lovely night of stories, music and luscious desserts (nothing good for my blood sugar). I really enjoyed singing with the ladies and it was great to dress up, eat and chat without kids. I especially loved all the nativity sets and the decorations at our table. I told my friend Mandy that I took a picture of it because it was spectacular! The picture doesn't do it justice.

Friday was our ward party and it was fun to eat dinner together as a family and visit with members that we don't see very often. It was a bit chaotic with all the kids running around, but I'm glad that they get an opportunity to hang out with other members.

Saturday, Frank and I went to the Camelback Inn in Scottsdale for his company party and I really got to dress up and do the valet thing :). It's funny pulling up behind all the Lexus', BMW's and Mercedes with our van. I felt sorry for the valet as there were cups, soccer balls rolling around and who knows what on the floor! Dinner was awesome and it was nice to meet the investors and their spouses. My highlight was the camel shaped butter and all the Pellegrino I could chug!!

I know December is really, really busy and it's easy to forget the true meaning, but we were able to sit down and watch the LDS Christmas devotional and right before bed, gathered the kids in the van with cups of hot chocolate to see the neighborhood lights. I loved all the nativity displays and the kids reminded me that our yard nativity was not up. Totally forgot!!

That devotional program was neat, I really enjoyed Elder Uchdorf's (I know, probably spelling it wrong) message. Wow that table display was awesome...I was in charge of our Christmas breakfast party center pieces and they now look cheesy! :) And you and Frank look darling...love you dress or top...I need to find something for Kurt's office shindig...where did you get it? Also, hot cocoa in AZ? LOL

Parties are a blast during the holiday...The centerpiece does looks really cool...wish I could deck out my own table every night like that! Don't think I would get much appreciation for the effort though. LOL.
