Monday night was the 6,7,and 8th grade band concert at the
Higley Performing Arts Center. This year they combined the bands with Cortina Elementary since they share the same band teacher,
Mr. Montoya. I can not begin to tell you how
pleased we are with the quality band instruction Mr. Montoya has brought to the school! He has really
motivated Amanda to perform better this year and it was evident in all the grade level performances. Great-grandma and grandpa Powell were able to come to the
concert too (after redirecting them from closed roads etc and an almost dead cell phone on my part). We were
surprised to see great-uncle Gene there too!

Just getting back to checking in on what everyone is up to. Love seeing G&G Powell - they look good. Congrats to Amanda on a great performance...give her our love.
WOW! It looks like a great night -it always helps having a great teacher to motivate - if only they all were.
I love your Christmas tree pics.
Mosaic pics were done through flickr & big huge labs.
Keep enjoying the festive season.

Your kids are so dang talented! They get the music gene from muah:) jk I can't believe Natalie fell asleep, she must have been faking. Wish we could have been there!
I listened to the clip, and they do sound good. Amanda looks so cute in her Santa hat. Wish we could have been there. That is cool you took Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Gene. I love you guys!
