There are a couple of reasons why I should learn Italian: first, it's Frank's heritage. I want to be able to help him search through Italian archives for family history stuff. Second, we are going there for our 15th wedding anniversary in July and it would be nice to order food and go to the bathroom! Lastly, Frank is applying for dual citizenship right now through the consult in San Francisco and then will add me and the girls too. Frank's great-grandpa died before he became a naturalized citizen of the USA. We really should know the language if we are going to have the citizenship (just a pet-peeve of mine from living in Arizona).
Instead, I spent all night making hats :). I love yarn! I really should open up a specialty yarn store in our area...the funnest one I've seen is in Scottsdale called Knit Happens. It made me chuckle. My favorite yarn right now is Vanna White's line with Lionbrand. It is soft and easy to work with for my hats. This is my new favorite one (inspiration from seeing my sister Amberly in a darling blue hat).

I'm also seriously into gardening right now. Frank has challenged us for these economic times to up our yield from our garden. I've added some extras and am pleased that my spinach is growing and that I had a good yield of red cabbage this year. My grapes have their tiny leaves popping up and I can't wait for grapes and juice this Summer (growing times are so different down here). I found this neat company Gardener's Supply Company that has a ton of neat stuff for gardening. I got the go ahead to order some stuff. Check them out!

You make me feel so lazy! You go girl. I'm so jealous that you are going to Italy, and proud of you that you are going to try and learn the language. I love gardening too. I just lose interest when it gets too hot. lol It makes me laugh that you make hats and you live in AZ. I really love mine that you made. It's awesome, even though I'd like it if I was unable to use it for a number of months. ;) However, I'm sure to be using it on Saturday, so thanks. I just love ya to death.
Good luck with the Italian...I was just thinking about something your girls told me while I was there - that we only use 5% of our brains...that's not the case with Frank. I'm sure he uses a lot more than the average (normal:)) person. Love the blue hat, too! You are busy doing so much such great things. Gardening and learning to be self-reliant is so important! You've inspired me!
hmmmm...I like what is on your mind! You are definitely not a boring gal! I love your egg decor...love it! I will copy that for next year. I can't believe that Easter is almost here...I did not get my bunnies out! Agh!~
So great to see you blogging again. Ok Dad and I are excited to get gardening again!! So happy those desires to garden show up in our kids lives now - we did rub off on all of you! Love the talent you have of creating inside and outside your home. Yes, open a yarn store and I shall come down and add to its charm (in the winter) Love you
Dual citizenship, not fair! Yeah I get the language thing...Mexico made me realize that one. Lucky traveling sista...so not fair. I agree the blue is lovely..I just love hats its my addiction:) I got the best sisters ever!
That's way cool about dual citezenship. I've had my dual citezenship from Wales for quite a while now and found it, and my native y Gymraeg language, very handy over the years. :)

What? my hubby is posting on your blog? What? Why not mine! :) As if you could pronounce that language and even use it. Italian is romantic...But hey, I just learned he has Welch in him...cool!
