As If....

"As if..." I got this from one of my favorite shows, Torchwood and have been using it regularly this week. It's like "duh" only cooler :). Frank hasn't been traveling much this year with the recession and all, but miracles of all miracles, his business sold a couple of contracts that looks like will tie them over for the next round of VC funding (venture capital). So, I've stopped looking for a job in the meantime...the crossing guard position just wasn't calling my name. I start school next week through the University of PHX and am really, really nervous and excited at the same time. I haven't taken a class since 1994. I just registered, got my advisor and did all the government student loan crap (yes, crap...it's a lot of paperwork). It's a 20 month gig to get my Masters of Education(Secondary) and teaching endorsements for AZ. Next year, I'll start in on my student teaching. Some may think I'm crazy at 40 for doing this, but I see a real need for good teachers on the jr high and high school level. A masters will allow me to pursue administration and counseling options too. So, if I'm not social, don't take it the wrong way. As if!I'm probably just overwhelmed.

Way to go, Sonya! That is so cool about going back to school and yes, it's good to have more great teachers. Good luck with it all!

So many people I know are going to school at our age. I'm glad you get to do that instead of crossing guard. You'd make a wonderful teacher. Good luck with school. It's a lot of written work, and you are a wonderful writer. All my love to you. :)

You're so INSPIRING!
My dad always says "who else would you want teaching your kids?" when asked why my mom teaches... I'm just not there yet... I'll post for that crossing guard position!
