The Perfect Day

I love Saturdays! I actually got to "sleep in" this morning until 8am and had awesome breakfast burritos made by my DH. We were minus 1 (Justine) at a birthday sleepover, but it was fun to all be in the kitchen and talk while Frank cooked :). We went shopping at the new Lowes by our house and got a new umbrella for the pool to replace the new one we bought last week that the girls broke...fun, fun, fun. I got into the shopping mood by adding a new patio rug, flowering Jasmine for my garden trellis and a banana tree! OK, this was a Frank purchase LOL...we love Hawai'i so much that we decided to add a touch of it to our backyard. The garden center says that they grow very well in Arizona and his is doing great that he planted last year. It sounds good in theory...so we'll see! We picked Natalie up from a birthday swim party and came back home and swam for awhile, did some yard work, picked zucchini from the garden and swam some more. Frank joined us after coming back from helping cut up antelope steaks...whatever floats your boat...and then me and the two oldest were off to a mother/daughter activity at church. What a great way to end our Saturday! We dressed up in hats, scarves, took pictures, made picture frames and ate strawberry shortcake. I really enjoyed spending time with them. They are getting so big and I'm glad that they still like hanging out with Mom :). It really was a most perfect day!
