A must see in Arizona - Biosphere 2

Justine has been involved with HATS (Higley gifted program) this year and they were able to visit the Biosphere 2 in Oracle, AZ this past week. What a fun field trip! I drove down with a couple of other mom's and we spent a long, fun-filled, educational day with these amazing kids. I was impressed with their good behavior on the tour and interesting questions that they had for our guide. The Biosphere 2 was lived in from 1993 - 1995 by a team of 9 scientists. My pictures don't do it justice, but I'm amazed at the sheer size and magnitude of the project. We especially enjoyed seeing the beach, wind tunnels and tropical forest area. Justine wants us all to go back so she can share it with the family; it was that big of a hit with her.
